TARANAKI

Get involved in Techweek by discovering the Manifold Coworking and Event Space as part of National Coworking Day. It’s a space designed for creatives, startups, and anyone looking for an inspiring work environment in the heart of New Plymouth.

HAWKE’S BAY

This year, the Poutama Digital Cluster Hui coincides with Techweek’17 and will be held at the beautiful Mahia Peninsula. This is a relaxed meetup in which to share experiences and ideas, and to network and have fun. It will include developers, animators, gamers, producers, drone and GIS operators, and everyone in between.

The Access Granted Talking Techweek Everywhere Podcast will be arriving in Mahia, too, on 8 May from 3pm-5pm. Make sure you stop by to say hello.

WHANGANUI

The coworking space, Confluence, will be the hub for Techweek’17 in Whanganui. Access Granted will stop by on 11 May, coinciding with National Coworking Day. On the 9^th, get involved in the Guerilla Business Efficiency Workshop and discover new ways to lower your business costs and run more effectively.

LOWER HUTT

There is so much going on in the Hutt thanks to the Hutt STEMM Festival, with a huge line-up of events designed to engage children and adults with science and technology subjects, from bioscience to rocketry.

The Dowse Art Museum hosts an inspiring Women in Tech Leadership Breakfast on the 10^th, with wonderful speakers including an astrobiologist working at the NASA Ames Research Centre in Silicon Valley.

Techweek founding Patron BNZ are hosting a free cyber security event, also on the 10^th, to discuss ways to encourage cyber security talent to make New Zealand their home. Coworking space 1^st Assembly will open its doors to the public as part of National Coworking Day.

Future Realities is taking on Wellington on 10 May, and its the ideal place to find our more about Augmented and Virtual Reality tech, and the Internet of Things, as well as to hear from a stellar line-up of internationally-acclaimed speakers – including celebrated sci-fi author and futurist Neal Stephenson!

Datacom’s AI: Reimagining Customer Engagement event will offer real examples of AI benefiting customer experience, and will feature FaceMe founder Danny Tomsett, talking about increasing the emotional intelligence of AI to create ‘human-like’ interactions between business and customer.

In the second instalment of KEA’s inspiring breakfast series, The Future of Cities will discuss the best way to encourage international tech talent to make NZ a dream home for both work and play.

Designed to support and educate startups and founders, you’ll find two useful investment and export events – Kiwi Tech | Going Global, and Demystifying the Series A&B Investment Decision, run by KEA and MOVAC respectively. A must if you’re ready to take your business to the next level.

On the 12^th, the Access Granted Talking Techweek Everywhere Podcast will finish its epic road trip at famed Wellington bar, Goldings Free Dive, to talk tech with the locals over a craft beer.

Finally, Techweek goes out with a luminous bang thanks to the Lux Light Festival, a free public event turning Wellington spaces into a celebration of light, art, technology and design from 12-14 May.
