This 24-hour session is all about understanding the gaming ecosystem from the inside. We will look to explore the role of eSports within the digital technology sector and to get inspired by what is happening within Aotearoa New Zealand and in particular what is happening with our Māori game devs. This event will begin with a discussion of eSports and gaming within an indigenous-centred Māori-focused space. We'll stream three gaming documentaries throughout the night (All Work All Play, Indie Game, the Movie, an episode from the Netflix series Abstract). We understand that gaming is a gateway into the digital tech sector. This will be our chance to begin developing a cohort of Māori gamers and game developers while spending a night gaming, connecting and eating pizza!
