Short updates focused on makerspaces in schools, libraries and the community. Experts in each field will give a summary of what is happening now and in the foreseeable future in their respective areas. Andrew Dixon will be speaking on makerspaces in the community. He has been a founding member of two Auckland based makerspaces, and is currently a trustee of the Gribblehirst Community Hub in Auckland. Through Meshed.nz Andrew also consults countrywide on maker related issues. Mark Osborne is an expert in future-focused education; innovative and inclusive learning environments. His mission is to help all schools become awesomeness incubators. Hamish Lindop heads the makerspaces in Libraries initiative in Auckland. He is working with libraries to keep adapting, keep conversing, keep connecting. Following these speeches will be a series of lightning, 1 minute talks from many of the groups that add to the Maker ecosystem in New Zealand. Please register your seat at Eventbrite
