Level Two, a space for deep tech companies that are tackling global problems, will be throwing open its doors during Techweek'17. Located in the creative district of Parnell with over 2,000 square metres of workshops, laboratories and offices, it is one of the largest private tech clusters in New Zealand. Beginning two decades ago as an ad hoc affair, Level Two has seen over 20 startup companies begin their journey in diverse fields such as biotech (BioConsortia & LanzaTech), chemical engineering (Avertana) and space rocketry (Rocket Lab). Alumni companies have raised over $500M in venture capital, taking their local solutions to the globe and beyond (well, into orbit at least!). Importantly, they've helped spur on another generation of deep tech startups. With a dozen companies currently on site, the Level Two After Hours event will showcase our tenants and facilities, and provide an opportunity to mix and mingle with early stage companies working on deep technical problems in Auckland. Thanks to Snowball Effect & PwC for sponsoring the evening - any funds leftover will be donated to OMGTech to run science workshops for NZ's next generation of inventors.
