NZVCA invites you to discover the secrets of investing growth capital in businesses. Learn from the experience of successful women investors and entrepreneurs.

Investing in growing businesses takes courage, skill and experience. To build scale it helps to lean on experienced and sophisticated investors and entrepreneurs.

NZVCA and the supporting organisations are pleased to bring together leading women who are connecting and investing in growth businesses.

The workshop focus is on the investment in fast-growth private businesses. The presenters will delve into the key elements and nuances of working with owners, key customers and investors.

Speakers

Fiona was appointed to the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation in September 2011. She oversees a portfolio of private equity, private equity real estate, and active return investments. She is responsible for the Guardians’ strategic partnerships, both investment manager and sovereign wealth fund peers. Fiona currently chairs the Investment Committee for the Guardians.
Marisa co-founded The Madison Group in 1998, successfully growing it to become New Zealand’s largest, privately owned Recruitment Company. It was acquired in 2013 by a public company in a textbook deal that has set a precedent for the industry. Since then, Marisa has invested in a portfolio of angel investments, and supports causes close to her heart. She is currently Chair for Professionelle Charitable Foundation, Advisory Board member for NZ Work Research Institute.
Nicole serves as Executive Director at IPIF Management, an unlisted infrastructure fund’s management business she created in 2014. Nicole is also Director, Investor Relations at Allegro Funds, an Australian based restructuring/turnaround private equity manager targeting mid-market transactions across Australia and New Zealand.
Nicole also represents Northgate Capital in Australia and New Zealand, a San Francisco based venture capital manager.
