This free event is a live streaming webinar for small businesses who want some practical advice from experts on where and how to start their online journey, and how to protect their business online. There will be a panel of experts giving practical advice on how to build a website and good social media pages, how to stay safe with your accounting systems, as well as what customers are looking for. Matt Kennedy-Good will be moderating the webinar. He is head of business.govt.nz, the first stop for small businesses online. Before busnes.govt.nz, Matt was a small business owner, starting, running and selling technology and writing businesses. His background is in commercial law and compliance.
Paul Macpherson, Head of Security at Xero since 2015, has over 25 years experience in information security, compliance, risk management in the finance, law enforcement and professional services industries. He manages a global team of specialists to keep the business and customers safe in the cloud.
Originally from the United States, Sai currently sits on the international board of ISC2 (www.isc2.org). Moving to New Zealand in 2014, Sai has worked at Waikato District Health Board. She is currently a security consultant for cloud-based accounting software company, Xero, in Wellington.
As a partner in the PwC Cyber practice, Steve is responsible for the delivery of security and privacy services to clients across multiple sectors like health, education, utilities, financial services and telecommunications. He's passionate about the protection of information to enable them to succeed.
Stuart is a specialist in the development of digital strategies in New Zealand. He is the founder of Digital Journey, the digital assessment service that helps businesses increase their digital skills and knowledge of the Internet. It helps thousands of businesses maximise online technologies.
