Everyone has a different story to tell when it comes to the paths they have taken in their careers and the challenges they have had to overcome. Come hear inspiring stories from people who have been making a difference in the tech industry. Whether you are already in the tech industry, currently studying to move into it or you are looking for a change in career, we encourage you to come along.  You will hear stories and experiences from Christchurch locals and find out how they have broken stereotypes during their career to make it to where they are today. Bring your questions for plenty of discussion.

Speakers

Chris Saunders is a father of 4 Generation Z daughters (4 to 13 years), a technologist and an entrepreneur. He empowers his children to embrace technology, and over the last 6 months:
· Has pitched at the Wellington Lighting Lab Electric Innovation Challenge.
· Has demo-presented at the Christchurch AI Meetup.
· And is involved in Maker Club.
Sarah is a Director and Co-founder of Information Leadership Consulting, New Zealand's pre-eminent consulting organisation in the areas of information, records and knowledge management. In April 2017, Information Leadership won the Microsoft Government Partner of the Year award.
From ‘Stay at Home Mum’ to Software Engineer. Toni completed a Computer Science degree at the University of Canterbury, won the Google Anita Borg Scholarship for her work in supporting women studying technology, and recently published her research paper on Gender Diversity in Software Engineering Teams.
