The DIGMYIDEA Māori Innovation Challenge is your chance to submit an innovative business idea that has the potential to go global.

The challenge aims to grow Māori involvement in Aotearoa / New Zealand’s economy. This challenge is about discovering and nurturing your ideas that can make a difference.

There are two entry categories:

Māuri oho: Youth category (15-25 years)

Māuri tū*: Open category (26 years and above).

*as at 20 February 2017

DIGMYIDEA is open to all Māori residing in Aotearoa / New Zealand. You can enter as an individual or as a team of up to five people.

Note: teams are required to enter the age category based on the age of the oldest team member; teams with non-Māori can participate as long as the team lead is of Māori descent and resides in Aotearoa/New Zealand.

DIGMYIDEA is designed and delivered by Auckland Tourism, Events & Economic Development (ATEED), Auckland’s economic growth agency. ATEED is responsible for delivering the Whai Rawa – Māori economic well being work stream of Auckland Council’s Te Toa Takitini initiative, which is a top-down approach to significantly lift Māori economic, social and cultural well-being across the region.
